Cherokee County Bioterrorism/Disease Surveillance is in need of volunteers to provide care to citizens

should we have a large scale public health emergency.  Plans are in place to respond rapidly to a

public health emergency with the aid of Federal and County resources.  We need Medical and as well

as non medical volunteers who are willing and able to triage citizens, dispense medicines, vaccinate,

and manage large scale clinics should we be faced with an emergency situation needing a public health

  response.

Will you volunteer to help our local citizens in a time of public health emergency?  If so please complete the

information form linked here with all contact information filled out so that you can be quickly contacted to

participate in public health care during an emergency.  The information you provide will be used only in our

database for emergency contact purposes and to mail you a newsletter that contains current preparedness

information of interest concerning our counties.

This is a volunteer program.  You will never be obligated to participate in a public health response and you

may have your name removed from our mailing list at any time.

Please carefully consider joining with others in your county to be a part of a public health response team.

If you have any questions, please call (903) 683-6142.

  Thank you,
