Position Summary
Provides routine vocational nursing work and clerical duties.
Provides for the care, treatment and general welfare of clients.
Work is performed under RN supervision with limited latitude for use
of initiative and independent judgments.
Essential Functions of the Job
Administers medication orally and by injection
Interviews client for health history/record opening
Takes vital signs, temperature, pulse and respiration
Monitors clients for treatment and procedures to include problem
log
Counsels clients with specific health goals
Conducts appropriate screening test, to include phlebotomy
Maintain appropriate record keeping pertaining to history,
treatment, and referral including TWICES data entry.
Prepares nursing and medical summaries /reports
Makes home and/or school visits
Stores and retrieves records
Assist doctor and/or RN with exam
Provides customer service in person and on the phone
Assist with community outreach/education
Mails correspondence
May assist with new staff orientation
Additional duties as directed by the clinical coordinator

Work Environment
Work Monday Thursday 7am 6pm
Work will be performed indoors
Reliable transportation
20% travel
Occasional week-end or evening hours
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift boxes up to 20 lbs
Recommended Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas
